    There is no such thing as a bad memory, and everyone can improve their memory, and one of the memory improving strategies is organization. Organizing the material of studying improves learning and help remembering better, because well organized writing and well written notes are easier to remember than random written pieces of informations. and organization has many strategies such as dividing the material into categories, selective underlining, making graphics and mind maps. this way everything will be easy to understand and when understanding it, it will be a lot easier to remember.

    We all know that our god differentiate us and the other creatures with mind . when I say min I say memory << human memory >> which is divided to 3 parts are ((sensory memory )) ((short term memory )) ((long term memory )) and of course who doesn’t forget !!! and to try to fight this huge problem specially in our studies we should find solutions .
    *in my case I have chosen the building background strategie which is very fundamental one . I will give an example that really happened to me: in the oral session the teacher made a test for us contains a lot of questions and we answer him with our own background so my question was << if you were obama what would you change in his policies !! >> so I found my self lost because I don’t have the enough background about policy .
    *for me I think that the background is general information that it had incidentally acrossed us.. or we have been studied it before and when we want to do something we should at least have a background for it or we’ll find our selves lost … and to get the best start we should also have a background about the specific subject …..

  3. When it comes to your memory , you try to remember things and informations that you had befor specialy in a limited time like exames , and you find yourself forgeting every thing . There is no doubt that is the absence of selfconfidence . One of the main strategies is confidence , it is the base of memory , and if you are afraid of forgeting you better support it with taking notes during the tasks or the sessions . In other way memory is a building , its base is confidence and its pillars are the notes that you take . And believe in yourself .

    It’s extremely difficult to concentrate on uninteresting or boring subjects, and most people only concentrate on their personally significant issues .
    Therefore there is what we call ego involvement so when we are studying uninteresting concepts we can always personalize the subject and that for sure would gain our interest on the subject causing us to aide intention to remember .
    however sometimes there is some subjects it's impossible to personalize so we must develop another motivation for learning it, it may could be information useful for your future career or something that our friends or our society are interest in . Regardless of interest, we still must understand boring concepts for our benefits , and if we struggle understanding some concepts we can associate, analyze and synthesize it with interesting or familiar concepts and Once we understand it better, our interest will more than likely be increased .

    * that's why my Motto is " Do what you like and Love what you do " .

    We all have the problem of forgetting informations, this because memory can’t retain all kind of informations that received every day. For that, there are strategies to improve memory. For me i choose Notetaking strategie that i prefer to use in my study, because it’s so useful for remembering what i studied when i complete the chapter. But these notes should be short and meaningful ;include important points with brief clear explanation (by my own words ). So that, i can review it in short time without losing efforts.

    Understanding: one of the best strategies to memorize thing. We mean getting the basic words in the subject which you need to memorize; eg in definition of cold war we must focus on four words which is: capitalism, communism, conflict and without weapons. Than, you have to translate them to your own words (simple ones which you prefer to use and have the same meaning); eg: communism=Soviet Union , capitalism=USA, conflict=fight; after that, you can link between them, eg: cold war is a fight happened between USA and Soviet Union without the use of weapons.

    (selection strategy)
    The ability of memorizing is different from one person to another and it could be limited it can't accommodate all informations.When some one want to cover the entire subject with its small details apparently impossible also wasting of time and the important it may be forgotten ;so in this case the solution is to select.
    Selection means chosing what is important and new ,besides it should be in a wise way by focusing on the important points or chosing a field and concentrate on it to avoid overlapping informations and lose them.

    We all have problems when it comes to memorization either we forget everything or we forget the beginning; so I’ve chosen #overlearning_ strategy to improve my memory. we should always review what we have seen in class rooms specially what we didn’t understand because when you learn something knotty and you don’t make effort to make it clear, in tests you will find problems in recalling those information so you should use what you’ve been learning in your daily life and increase practicing to avoid forgetting specially when it comes to difficult materials.
    And this is what do we mean by #overlearning _strategy

    Students who have difficulty with memory may have problems with registering information in their minds.
    In order to fix information in memory they should pay attention. And by choosing (attention) which is the most important strategy or solution. I would like to give definition for it by dived it into three parts (concentration, taking notes, being active).
    Concentration (Focusing): The students must be concentrating with the information that is giving from the teacher or the opinion of his classmates.
    Taking Notes: by taking notes the student is making sure that the information is saved from forgetting
    being active: that mean that the student is devolved from taking information to share it. And when he is sharing it automatically he is fixing it in his memory.

    The strategy : selection
    Human memory is a complex, brain-wide device essential to who we are as humans. It is ,infact, a process in which information is encoded , stored and retrieved. We can distinguish three types of memory : long-term , short-term , and sensory memory . However , human memory faces a big deficiency which is forgetting that is due to several reasons : negative self-concept, interference , change cue and disuse . One of the outstanding strategies to face the aforementioned problem is selection . This means concentrating on the most significant things and attempting to choose the basic information, ideas , and trends which are necessary to be memorized.

    Starting right
    Starting right is the main strategy to improve memory . Of course it's related to other strategies like confidence and interest because they complete each other. To starting right you need abidence , timeliness insistence and determination. You have to know your purpose and the way or the tactic to achieve it, you have to start executing and keep on the way that you drew it to yourself, you must loping the obstacles and insisting to arriving to your purpose and don't let anything stop you . Look in your capacities, your talents improve them and try to obtain more informations and do all the things that can help you to achieve , also try to concentrate on the work that you are doing in that moment , don't think of the past and all what you lose , don't let the darkness hide your sun than you fail and you give up . Use all your senses , imagination and learn from the successful people also from the losers in order to avoid their mistakes .

      Students have a big problem and is not to be remembered, so the most appropriate way to oblivion is the review we are all exposed to forget, but the best way to remember and to to forget is the special audit to review soon after it took learning place and must be at an expeditions manner , however we should work on concern for reading to avoid an oblivion , because the summit remembering defficulties come after the middle towards the end or if you do not suitable change the way to remember to avoid forget and everyone of us have amanner for remember

    Concentration Strategy
    The single greatest misconception people have about memory is that it works like a camera. That would imply that your brain automatically creates objectively accurate records of everything it experiences.Nothing could be farther from the truth. In many cases, your brain will not remember something until it has interpreted it in a personally meaningful way.so , It's an obvious step - improve your concentration to improve your memory. To concentrate simply means to focusing intensely.There are two ways to improve your concentration: First, raise your brain's natural ability to concentrate. In other words, increase your attention. Second, adjust the environment around you to make concentrating easier.This can be especially helpful when actively studying for school, work, or leisure

    there are two ways to memorize : by rote and by understanding and multiplication tables, telephone numbers, combinations, but the better learned by rote and understanding. always note similarities in ideas and concept. set them in their proper place in a large system of ideas. a bare literal understanding is often of little value. ever be satisfied with careless idea. experiences both real and vicarious that are systematically related and associated with previous knowledge will improve your memory. note differences as well as similarities, or else there will be confusion.

    It's one f cognitive strategies which improve memory, it's mean writing down key words and concepts in abbreviated, clear,concise and precise way while listening or reading.
    There are two kind of learners; visual and auditory learner ; the first one take notes while lecture or reading , but the second one should take notes while reading.
    This strategy reinforce and refresh memory because when we take notes we use our own words and our organizational skills.
    After finishing we must use this notes to evaluate ourselves and check understanding .

  18. Organization: it is one of the strategies of memory improvement. It‘s mean doing everything in its place in realty and our mind, it’s also the classification of the important and less important in our brain. This strategy helps you to remember, understand, and less forgetting. E.g.: you have task let’s say writing an essay you don’t directly write, you must choose the right place and take the material that can help you …etc . Do it in organized way.

    Solution strategy to improve memory
    be selective: concentrate on the most significant things:
    many of us have problems in study, one of them is forgetting all what studied because of many reasons, like not learning the material well, so to solve these problems we have to find the appreciate way. As students we cannot learn and master module or even lecture as it is in all it's ideas we have to be selective, i mean by selective the concentration on the most important ideas and things and without details we cannot understand the general idea.
    Secondly, we should put our interest on the new information not on what already know, for example we can even headline them to be more clear or color them for visual learners to concentrate more, by these steps we can be more aware about the most significant ideas and will be able to read, understand and summarize the whole material successfully.

However recent studies have shown that most students only spend one hour studying per credit hour—just half of what is recommended to be successful. Most college courses are three to four credit hours, so this means that for each class you should spend about six to eight hours studying Full-time students should anticipate spending about 30 hours each week studying. To many students, this can seem overwhelming but if you manage your time correctly, your studying will become more productive and will help you perform better.

    organization is congesting your life and you're feeling scattered and frustrated as a result, it's time to get organized. To achieve organization on the outside, you will need to take steps on the inside, by clarifying your priorities, objectives, and how you want your belongings and lifestyle arranged. Try to keep stuff where it belongs. Know what you need/want to do, when you are going to do it, and avoid the stressful situation of not knowing what needs to be done. Organization takes time, but when you get into the habit of it, life becomes so much easier

    Memory is the ability to take in information, encode it, store it, and retrieve or recall it at a later time.but when it comes to recalling we all might have problems and that because of mistakes that we make either while perceiving or revising the information that we are learning . But there is a lot of strategies to occur those problems. i think that the best strategies are the ones which rely much more on solving revising problems, so i concerned my self with "Recitation" strategie.

    **Recitation **: is one of the most important student's Skills that should be incloded within their strategies. it means saying back to ourself the information we just learned by reading a paragraph or a text , withing this process we'll have to read then to ask our selves about those informations, that will help us to evaluate our selves , promotes understanding , attention and concontration while reading loudly of course , it also faster our learning because it is so active strategie which engages more than one of our senses and forces us to concontrate more on the material and it alsso gives us a feedback . Affective recitation should be with our own words what will help us to reveal mistakes , gaps and our weakness points and will show us if we had learned the materiel well or not. Furthermore, Reciting is actually good practice for exam time. Think about it, recitation is exactly what you do when being tested. During the exam, you try to recall the material as accurately as possible from memory. It makes perfect sense to practice during your study sessions what you are going to be doing on the test.
    so , because of all of that i'll keep thinking that "Recitation" is the Best Strategie that all student's should work with and it remains a metter of points of vues . .

    How we take notes ?
    • Remember, don't write everything down. Think about what's important and what you'll need to know later.
    • Use the new vocabulary you are learning, both in your speech and elsewhere in your notes. This will help solidify it in your mind.
    • Highlight the word if you need to so you don't get off track on your test or essay.
    • Listed to the teacher carefully and only write the important parts.

  34. We all know that there are many strategies to improve memory .but the most important one to memory improvement its using background knowledge strategy (Relating new information to things you already know.)
    When you are studying unfamiliar material, take the time to think about how this information relates to things that you already know. By establishing relationships between new ideas and previously existing memories,as(images-information- dialogue etc..)you can dramatically increase the likelihood of recalling the recently learned information.That help me a lot to improve my memory and in the same time learn new information.

    Let your brain do the work while you sleep

    Sleeping is necessary for learning. learners often have trouble remebring what they studied.
    One reason is that many of them don t get enough sleep necessary for the transfer of information from short-T-M to long term memory.
    Long term –M is created while you are sleeping ;it generally takes from 3 to 5 nights of sleep for long term memories to fully form.
    What we do right before we go to sleep can help us build long term –M .this means that if you review what you were supposed to learn right before you go to sleep ; you increase the chances that you will remeber it.

There are numerous factors like negative self concept and interference…etc which impede memorazition and affect the system memory by hindering the process of stoning information in either the short or the long term memory,however, there are strategies with which we can enhance our system of memory and make the stroning process more eisier..among those strategies stands Overlearning vital and effective strategy to sufficiently and effectively to learn materials… This strategy allows learned to easily and effortlessly recall any information that has been overlearned and that through the frequent us of that information,but here the learner must use his intelegence in order not to wast his/her time in overlearning an easy material.

    most of us might have complained about our memory one time or other,but some of you have been frequently complaining about your poor memory .when we generally talk about poor memory we are really taking about poor recollection.recollection is possible only if the content is retained in memory and the best strategy to make that is paying attention.
    paying attention is one of the major components of memory .in order for information to move from short -term memory into long termmemory ,you need to actively attend this information .try to study in a place free of distractions such as television,music and other diversions

    All of us have a problem of lack of attention or can we say lack of concentrate .. i think that each one of us can improve his/her memory just be sure of yourself .
    As we know that the main strategies of improving memory is the "Attention" ; so when the professor explaining the lesson ; you must be "concentrate" .. & also us we know that the listening is more effective than reading .. and you must be "Take notes" ; here the student is making sure that the information is saved from forgeting .

    Understanding considered as one of the strategies, because without it you cannot start your studies as well. You need to focus to do it, For example when a teacher want to send his message, he needs to explain his message to be received to his students, And they must focus and concentrate with him to understand on what he is talking about.. And when you are revising your lessons you need to understand, or even when you are in exams, It's not just a matter of reading, In fact it is a matter of understanding as well, otherwise you will answer randomly. That is why understanding is much important to do things. Also you can understand things by rote... When you are studying, try to use examples. Examples are much better to get a given idea...

    I thought that before a test, students ought to be asked to hand in a memory plan, the day before. The way a pilot would hand in the flight plan. In other words, how are you going to go about getting stuff into and out of your memory? And they ought to be graded on their plan as much as they are on the test. It might be very nice, as a matter of fact, to eliminate something called “effort grades,” which are very morally tinged and inappropriate, in my opinion, and substitute strategy grades, and grade a student not so much of how he did on the test, but how he went about preparing for it. That may be much more meaningful as a part of the assessment.

    - There are many different reasons of forgetting and having problems of memory ,firstly negative self concept ; so when we think of ourselves forgetting things ,and the second reason is we have not learned the material well if some thing is to be retained , it must be obviously make au impression on minds ,in addition to that the psychological reasons in which the unpleasant thing ,also the memory will wilt and fade when not reviewed ,there is another important factor which is the lack of attention and effort because to remember ,there must be effort ,so all of these are the problems that are caused of the forgetting ,however there are a solutions and strategies which help to improve the memory ,the first is the attention ,so we must pay attention and concentrate on something that we want to remember it them the interest because the lack of interest cause inattention ,also the provide of the intention in order to remember and when we intend without having confidence , the intention is weakned besides that , you must starting right ,so at the start becarful in learning new knowledge right also concentrate on the most significant things ,and the best way to improve your memory of subject is to learn more about it ,and a good memory is like a well organized more over test your self because this promotes understanding ,then the freshly learned material is better rememberd after a period of sleep ,however for some people this many not work , at the end we can say that the memory has many problems on the other hand ,there are a several solutions to them.
    Building background: the first question is :how do we build the background? The solutions the most of them is to learn more about a subject and interesting to it ,moreover reading and understanding the tobic and love it ,when we love a subject we found ourselves attention to it ;and don’t have sufficient background for some thing.

    Sometimes when we want revise a specific module we found some problems. like the gigantic of the lessons of this module .and we must find a solution or strategy to avoid this problem .So we can study or revise this topic by separating the unites or the lectures of our material in a small elements that's what we call #Spaced practice or distributed practice.
    which mean the divide of each lesson in two or more parts without disruption the meaning or the ideas and this strategy allows for us to fixed the information in our memory than revise easily .

    The memory : Is the ability of an organism to record information about things or events with facility of recalling them later. There are two ways to memorize: by rote and by understanding. We have many strategies to improve the memory, one of them is:
    Understanding :
    Is a mental process of comprehension .This process or this strategy is so important to avoid forgetting. The best way to get the understanding is :
    First, you have to read the subject very well and get the right meaning without missing any thought .Then, note the similarities and the differences between the ideas. The last step, you have to explain it in your own words or your own style to understand ( graphics, images, tables……etc).

    sleeping over it:natural periodic state of rest of the mind and body in which the eyes usualy closed and consciousness is completely or partially lost,in this time the brain in human manages his ideas.wherefore some people prefer to take a look on their handouts for revision and sleep after it to stay remember this information, but for some people this may not work,because they think that studying after sleeping is better, because the brain will be refreshing and be able to learn new information special daytime, because there are some materials of thinking and they must to be confortable.

    The ones who are depending on their « Visual learning » their approch is based on taking notes during the lectures and when reading . As they learn more to visualize , they become more careless about hearing , Audiotory learners should take notes on their readings .It is better to take notes with your own words ,But concise and precise, the notes should be clear enough to be read.

    Benefits in taking notes :

    there are many strategies as a solution to this problem and one of the best strategies to improve memory is ;sleeping over it.
    it is learning something before going to bed like review some note papers and going to sleep after this ,so the information save into the long-term memory bank during sleeping and you will keep the information in your mind .This strategy is proven scientifically
    there are persons listen to music before sleeping and they found that they register the music
    Student when they had bac exam they study and revise all the time and they remember 60 or 70 % from their lessons but they remember 80 or 90 % from the lessons that they revised before sleeping

For example, before attempting to memorize events of European history, find the places on a globe and see where they are relative to one another and also relative to where you live.

    Memory is our ability to encode, store, retain and subsequently recall informtion and past experiences in the human brain. One of the main reasons that make us forgetting things is referred to Psychological reasons : (defensive forgetting) in generall , people may forget unwanted memories, by motivating their minds o stop recalling bad things to move on in their lives .and with people who are always biliousness unpleasant things are better remembring than pleasant things .

    for me when i want to keep something in my mind for a long time i keep repeating it over and over again.
    for examel,a student studied a material until he thought he knew it and he stopprs,he would forfet most of it by the next day.
    however if spent extra time he would remember it better;that extra practice we call "overlearning".
    overlearning is very helpful when it comes to the long term memory.

    -to understand a thingwe should focus on it,write it directly after we listen or we read it over and over search for it; repeat it again and again. for exemple: if we are in a lecture and the students were a lot , that's mean you can't easily understand, in my way i will try to forget every one and focus only to the teacher and if i couldn't understand i'll ask him to repeat for me but of couse not every thing.

    Memory is the ability of an organism to record information about things or events with the facility of recalling and remembering them later whenever you need .There are two ways to memorize: by rote or by anderstanding.
    Understanding: is the way in wich you think something is meant. To understand something:-
    - You have to read in details and find answers to your questions
    Concentrate on what you are reading to get the more meaningful learning . -
    Never leave questions or doutes in your mind you have to search for the solutions.-
    -A bare literal understanding is often of littel value.
    -If you are not able to follow the thought ,go back to the point where you lost the trail.
    -Always note similareties and also diffrences in ideas after that appoint them in their suitable place in larger system of ideas to improve your understanding .
    -You have to explain your ideas in your own words or your own style to understand ( plans, graphics, images, schedules,……etc).
    Don’t hizitate of your enquiry and hazy ideas.-

    Interest is a memory improvement strategy ,which is giving a certain material enough attention and interest to
    remember it well.
    One way to make the material you're learning interesting is to take sides and form opinion about it, this is called
    "Ego involvement". It helps to understand the information retain it better.
    Information which you do not understand is soon to be forgotten because it does not raise any interest. You can attempt
    to give an uninteresting subject a second chance and build background knowledge about then try to analyze and associate it.This will
    aid you to make the information interesting and meaningful.

    Understanding.
    Relate it to your experience or event to remember an answer or information, and there are two ways to memorize. The first is by understanding Multiplication table which is a list of Multiples of a particular number, typically from 1 to 12 for instance when children sat at their desks reciting the multiplication tables, and the like are better learned by rote.ideas,concepts,theories and significances and the like are learned by understanding. Sometimes they work simultaneously it means at the same time, and the most you gather ideas and thought, the more meaning and understanding the learning process it will have. And always note similarities i.e., similar feature or aspect, to similar between thought and ideas and put them in their proper place in a large system of ideas.

    -It’s a mental (psychological) process when two or more entities interfere in one moment, for example: when a student encounters the same rules in different modules like written expression and grammar and She/he can or cannot distinguish between them.

    I found in this lecture that all this strategies are important to us ,But for me i use attention to improve memory , and keep information in our minds .
    So attention strategy is the first thing that can help us to remember something , that maybe lost through time , for instance ; when a teacher of grammar ask me to answer any question ; and because i never gave it proper attention in the first place , i get blockge , but this maybe solved by one word or event which is related by the questions , So i can answer easily only by remember .
    So concentration help us to remeber quikly and it very important to develope our memory to be good learner and to have a good memory .

    We can not talk about something’s, if we do not have a background knowledge to recognize it very well.
    It will be hard to understand what is it .The first thing we should do it is reading about the object that we have and listen to things about it.
    We can also ask some people to give us ideas about this object from many sides because we take a large number of it from people, but after that be sure this information are true and a fact .
    We are able to search on the Internet about the topic ;skimming magazines and reading books ,reports ,newspapers ,if they contains our object .
    by stocking this extensive range of information with the previous known materials.
    Now ,we are able to speak and discuss about the object .

    Our memory is like a machine we need to activate it each time and refresh it with several kinds of information ; by reading , listening and asking about anything that we cant understand ; because if we didn't do so our memory will be like an ill old person , and we will have an inert memory and by time we will forget things and have a probleme in memorizing ; however we have strategies to work our memory such as attention , interest , confident , understanding , building background, organization…….. we will take for example Building Background and , by this we mean we must read , watch documentaries , listen to BBC radion station and do all what make you an educative person ; further more we should have suitable knowledge and be aware of the kind of the information wether is true or not , meaningful or no or our learning will be more difficult

    remember it well.
    One way to make the material and information you're learning interesting is to take sides and form opinion about it, this is called
    "Ego involvement". It helps to understand the information retain it better.
    Information which you do not understand is soon to be forgotten because it does not raise any interest. You can attempt
    to give an uninteresting subject a second chance and build .

    One way to make the mate background knowledge about then try to analyze and associate it.
    If you try to make the information interesting but you totally fail to , remind yourself that there will be a grade on the subject

    Memory is the ability to encode, store, retain and then remembering information and past experiences in the human brain. Can be thought of in general terms about the use of past experience to affect or influence current behavior.
    And the focus is to leave the mind works by voice gives ideas automatic and accurate. There are the focus of what is positive and what is negative as the focus that there is no internal capacity of the brain to give a result that can not be this result will be achieved not by the brain with the ability to focus. It is working to improve conditions and make it a positive focus and also work to simplify things and information, as well as the growing interest Bmak work and possible improvement to the brain and finally work in an atmosphere that allows us to focus
